Fro Bros

Fro Bros is an action-packed dungeon crawler where hair is not only cosmetic -- it’s your weapon. Creating this game is part of my capstone project for my Game Design major at Indiana University. My team and I will spend a total of two years developing it, and I currently serve as the lead programmer.

So far, I have worked on the player system, enemy behavior, status effects, weapon mechanics, abilities, and dungeon generation. We are currently working in Unity and plan on finishing our prototype build by the end of the year. This build will include the forementioned systems as well as accessories, boss, hair-growth mechanic, and a full repayable loop.

Procedural World Generator

I started this project as a test drive to see what Anthropic's Opus 5.5 model can do. I saw a lot of cool and useful projects being made with it recently so I decided to see what I could build with it. I plan on keeping up with this project as AI advances to use it as a benchmark to see how well it does at creating procedural worlds and solar systems.

Isometric World Generator and Turn-Based System

I completed this project to become familiar with using noise maps to generate terrain. For world generation, I used a noise map for altitude to place water, land, and mountain tiles on the grid. Additionally, I created the different avatars on screen, each with their own custom stat sheets. They have health, attack damage, movement distance, and movement speed (which is used for initiative).

These avatars move using the A-star pathfinding algorithm. This project was developed in Godot.
